Heifer International Headquarters is located in Little Rock, Arkansas. If you don't know Heifer, but you are of a charitable heart, learn all you can. Heifer does fund raising like any Charity, but they do things quite different.

When Heifer solicits funds, it is in Livestock and Fowl. If you are concerned about third-world countries, and other parts of the world where entire villages are starving for lack of food, Heifer makes it possible to donate chickens, ducks, goats, rabbits, Heifers, and even the Noah's Ark Menagerie.

Many animals are 'grown' in Perryville, Arkansas, about 45 minutes from Little Rock. These gifts keep on giving.

This beautiful pedestrian bridge spans the Arkansas River from Litlte Rock to North Little Rock walking and bike trails. This is a new bridge, completed in 2006. It is 4226 linear feet. The first cyclists crossed the bridge in September 2006 - they were Mayor Jim Dailey (City of Little Rock) and Mayor Patrick Hays (City of North Little Rock). It is a place of weddings, LongK walks and the first 107 year old person took a Birthday Stroll, on September 30, 2007 - Ms. Ruth Lincoln

I am recommending Big Whiskey's as a place to go! I visited at lunch time on a week day, so if you are visiting on the weekend, it will be more crowded. The exterior of Whiskey's is upscale, and I worried the prices would be high. They were very reasonable.

For two of us, I ordered one Whiskey on Tap, 3 Bud Lites on tap. The SpinQueso dip and chips, an order of 6 medium wings, and the Avacado Chicken Breast Sandwich. 

The food was delicious and helpings were good. The service was excellent. and the final total was under $40.00, and we took home a good portion of food.

Less than a mile from the Downtown River Market, Diamond Bear Brewery offers Free Tours

Diamond Bear offers both public and private tours of their brewery. Tours are at 3:00 p.m. CST on Saturday & Sunday.

During the tour samples of their award winning beers are offered to visitors over the age of 21, and have root beer for those under 21 or who do not wish to partake.

Group tours can be scheduled by calling the brewery at (501)708-2739. Please arrive 15-20 minutes before the tour starts. They look forward to seeing you, and offer great customer service.

 Relax, enjoy a pedestrian business area, where after relaxing and resting all day, play all night long. Downtown Little Rock have many alternatives to driving. Have fun, hit every bar up and down Bill Clinton Avenue: there is the Famous Willie D's, Underground Pub, Sticky Fingerz Rock 'n Roll Chicken Shack, the Flying Fish, Bill Street Bar and Grill, the Flying Saucer.

If you cannot afford the Peabody, there are more moderate hotels within walking distance of the Green Corridor - Comfort Inn and Suites downtown Little Rock, and visable from I-30...Enjoy
