The Arkansas State Fair is slated for October 14 - 23, 2011. This year the theme is "Ridin' Rockin' & Livestockin'".

My Advice: Dress In Layers! Hats, Sunscreen, It may get warm enough for shorts during th middle of the day, it could cool down too. Temps change over a 50 degree spectrum during the day. Water is $3.00 per bottle at most vendors, the small Fair Cup is $2.00 for a soda.
The Arts & Crafts Center, as well as the Hall of Industry is Air Conditioned with lots of Information and Freebies for the Kids! There is even a simulated Tractor! Anybody can plow!

How I miss a State Fair! Last one i went to was in Alabama in 94... :( Giant pumpkin contests, pot belly pig races, demo derby, greased pole climbing, and rides galore....How fun - Have some for me too Lori!

Thank you! The only SEO I adhere to is "what will people Google?" The Fair Grounds is kind of out of the way, and not right by interstate.It isn't far, but I know Arkansans who don't live here, have a hard time finding stuff. It was rained out last year, and everyone was broke, so...I made a project to help boost the Fair and tourism dollars to our town (again/still), and Arkansans feeling of unity. I have had more hits on this than any other Hub! Susan G. Komen's Race for the Cure is tomorrow morning, so we have out-of-town visitors everywhere.
